Elham Jamshidi is an experienced litigation attorney with an expertise in criminal law. She has appeared in hundreds of criminal matters as an advocate, including several reported cases.
Elham received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from York University in 2000, with a major in psychology. In that year, she began work at the law firm of Hinkson Sachak McLeod as a law student. She received her L.L.B. from Queen’s University in 2003 and articled with Hinkson Sachak McLeod. Elham was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004.
Elham represents individuals from all backgrounds, charged with the full spectrum of criminal offences. Her cases have included clients accused of murder, sexual assault, robbery, guns and gangs, fraud, and drug offenses. In every case, Elham believes in a well-prepared and aggressive defense of the rights of the accused person.
In addition to her work in her own law practice, Elham has served as a mentor to lawyers, law students, and high school students regarding advocacy and criminal law. She has served as a judge for mock trials and as an articulating principal, and frequently advises new and future legal professionals. In addition to her legal work, Elham volunteers her time to assist local impoverished youth.
A member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, Elham is fluent in Farsi. She is proud to provide dedicated, energetic representation for each and every one of her clients.
